Collaroy
The brief for this project was to add elements for active recreation as much as for entertaining. The swimming pool is generous enough for a few laps with the spa configured to orient the users to the cabana and lawn area. The wide Himalayan Sandstone surrounds provide great access around the pool.
The change in materiality from the pool surrounds to the cabana floor gives visual relief and also implies the change from active to passive recreation. With a retractable projector and screen to the cabana roof, movie nights have never been more fun.
